Featuring the return of special guest artist DJ Sorta in an all-vinyl audio/visual collaboration with the very best of The Pillow Project.

7pm performance includes an extreme live-action painting by Kevin "The Nerve" Wenner, specialty cocktails and refreshments, and the very best of the first 5 years of The Pillow Project condensed into a 5-minute projection retro-performance "rewind"!

10pm performance includes a late-nite open dance jam with DJ Sorta and The Pillow Project!

Five years ago, The Pillow Project's debuted onto Pittsburgh's dance scene with a little event called" kinda[sorta]", which itself was a collaborative multimedia evolution of a crazy idea first thought of in a living room in Oakland in 2003 while listening to DJ Sorta play on vinyl for hours on end. It was that very live, spontaneous energy and cool lounge-like atmosphere that inspired what would one day become Second Saturdays.

Five years later....

Obviously, we are beyond excited to have DJ Sorta back in our "living room" once again spinning and making beats as original as the ideas that he inspired! Also back in town for the event is Ben Wegman (who since performing with The Pillow Project has been a featured dancer with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange ), and Dionna PridGeon (currently dancing, choreographing and teaching in Chicago), who has been a continuing stylistic influence of The Pillow Project's work since the very beginning!

Also featured at this very special event will be Kaylin Horgan and Angela Essler, both who have been with The Pillow Project for every season thus far, and of course, founding company member and current principle performing artist Beth Ratas!

We are very proud to again and continue to work with these incredible artists who have been some of the very finest ever to leave their impression on The Pillow.

We hope you join us for a very unique Pillow Project experience 5ive years in the making!
