More Doors, More Tile, More Reuse!
Greetings Reuse Fans!
Today, we're asking you to advocate for CJ, for reuse, and for workforce development trainees! In 2014, CJ recorded over 51,500 customer purchases—that’s a record volume of reuse! We also track metrics by department and, though most showed an increase, the number of doors sold was down 1% and tile was down over 18%. These departments are important from a reuse perspective, and they create opportunities for our work force development program with Goodwill!
We can only sell what is donated, so we need your help to spread the word. For example, if you are buying new tile in the near future, please ask the retailer if they donate surplus tile to CJ. Many already do, so please thank them if they say yes. If not, please let them know that we take new, whole tile, in full and half-full boxes (no used or broken tile); that we offer free pick up of larger donations; and that giving to CJ is a deductible charitable contribution.
It is so easy to throw things away that even people with good environmental intentions forget to call us at 412-243-5025 ext. 11. We appreciate all you can do to help! -- Mike Gable, Executive Director
